Personally I do not like facial hair. Some people think it makes them look more intelligent. I disagree.
However, I do know plenty of muslims without any facial hair at all. So that is kind of a stereotype.

Ha Ha!! Your efforts are not in vain because I got a good laugh out of your post!! I say let Jenny decide! She’s the one that has to snuggle up with you at the end of the day… Surely she has an opinion! (I know I would if my hubby were follically challenged and decided to put it to the test!!) How ’bout the kids? Do they vote yea or nay?

P.S. You do have a Mennonite-like appearance with your facial hair growth )

While in the Air Force, we were deployed during the Cuban Crisis to the alert pad @ an airbase. Our squadron leader commanded that all our crew grow moustaches so we could be his “moustached muskees”, it took the whole deployment for me to grow one which barely showed and was very blond. So, I understand your frustration. I still have one today and it is now white! I also grew “mutton chops” later after leaving the AF. Personally, a moustache is easier to maintain and you don’t get ingrown hairs causing zits. Love, Dad

Hey Robert and Jenny. I’ve been keeping up with you the whole time you’ve been in Albania. I’m so inspired by your work. It is funny that this is the blog that tinally got me to respond. I know… not surprising.

I feel for you Robert. I grew a ‘beard’ almost identical to that over December and January. It just feels weird.

It’s hard for me to vote whether to keep it or not, though I will say that I’ve seen some Menonite men in kansas who are in the same pickle as you. They just give it all they got. And what more can people ask for?

So I guess my vote is just to keep at it. The good thing about facial hair is that you never really a point of no return. You can scrap it all in about 5 minutes.

Good luck with this tough decision. Very funny.
